Use NetSphere-Community-Setup.exe from the website. The public download center intentionally provides the installer and review documents only.
Before clean laptop testing, run Get-FileHash .\NetSphere-Community-Setup.exe -Algorithm SHA256 in PowerShell and compare the value with downloads/download-manifest.json.

Yes. NetSphere can still use ICMP, ARP, TCP ports, HTTP fingerprint, and OUI hints. SNMP improves accuracy for device identity and interface status when available.
Yes. ICMP failure can fall back to SNMP reachability checks. Interface alerting merges ifAdminStatus, ifOperStatus, and SSH sync data so admin down ports are not treated like unexpected outages.
Community starts with 10 managed nodes. Contribution opt-in raises that to 30. If an uploaded fixture is accepted through review, the app can receive a 90-day unlock for 50 managed nodes.
Masking runs locally before upload. IP and MAC values keep limited structure for parser improvement, while sensitive parts, serials, secrets, tokens, keys, and credentials are removed or masked.
